Site Reset when attempting to edit page

When a certain page is trying to be accessed for editing, the site will appear as though it is loading and then appear to be really slow.  Eventually, the site resets and you get gears.  After resetting, the page in question is locked and unlocking and trying to edit the page starts the cycle over again.

This happened on a previous page and deleting that page and recreating it seemed like it worked but I would rather not have to do that if I can avoid it.

Nothing of note in either the error or trace logs.  The only item of note is in the server logs there is a system warning at the time

"A process serving application pool 'application pool serving the offending page' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '6352'. The data field contains the error number." 

The event id is 5011 coming from the windows server.
