Thunder connection fails every time

I have Sitefinity 8.1 running under IIS 8.5 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 box.

I cannot connect Thunder through the URL of the publicly available website, either from a remote machine or the server itself. I run VS 2013 on both remote pc & server.

I try to install the Thunder module into my project, it says its completed successfully, but it hasn't or at least I can see no trace of it in the project folder!

I find the lack of meaningful error messages extremely poor, forcing me to resort to filing tickets or posting on forums. I have looked at the previous answers on here, and none of them work for me.

Any help is muchappreciated

Hi,

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of Thunder (1.3.9.0).

Also try making a separate admin account that is used solely for the Thunder connection.
