Back-end Theme

We have several sub-sections of our website each in their own sub-domain.  Each one of those sub-domains is a SiteFinity project.  Because of the several projects, user who are editors in more than one project, complain that they "get lost" because all the administrative sties look the same. Now that the back-end has themes, I am wondering if I am able to make a "partial" theme to make minor visual changes to all the back-end pages (like change the header color from black to grey, etc.) to give a visual cue (besides the URL - which should be obvious) to the users.

Sure, you can create you own custom theme for the Backend. You should then register it in Sitefinity on ~/Sitefinity/Administration/Settings/Advanced >> Appearance >> Backend themes and then you create new theme by clicking on the Create New button. Name it let's say CustomTheme and in Path give the path where you put your modified CSS. One you've saved the changes go back to  ~/Sitefinity/Administration/Settings/Advanced >> Appearance and in the BackendTheme textbox fill in the name of your custom theme  (e.g. CustomTheme).
You can take a look at our Eduction Starter Kit where we have a custom theme applied. You can find the CSS for the customized BackenTheme which you can modify  to create your custom one.

From where do I get the default back end css to modify in order to make the new custom back end theme?
