See master page ContentPlaceHolder IDs when using page templates
Hi all,
I feel a little helpless as it has to be a simple answer.
When I create page templates based on external master pages, particularly those with more than say ten content placeholders, the content boxes in Sitefinity's page and template designers often get quite cluttered.
Placing the right content in the right boxes would be so much simpler if the content boxes held labels with the corresponding ContentPlaceHolder IDs, for using/tweaking CSS.
Sitefinity does not show the boxes in the exact places during design (they tend to be bigger and stacked, and even the upper left corner is misplaced now and then.
But searching sitefinity.com or the web elsewhere does not help a bit.
Am I the only one with this issue?
Thank you for any feedback.
Hey Olav,
Hardly and there should be several forum posts floating around about the issue.
Best you can do is use Tim Williamson's (MVP Tim on the forums here) jQuery snippet which will make the magic happen for you.
