Need an easy way to include an image description in image ga

Does anyone here know how i can SIMPLY add just a short description with EACH image within a lightbox or similar? There must be a way without having to edit the code isnt there? I really only just want to have a short sentence for each viewable image. please help!

Hello Jeff,

You can create custom fields for the images module and then edit the widget template for the image gallery control to show the contents of your new custom field. If you check the attached screenshot you can verify the outlined procedure. For the purpose of my tests I have used the already created description field and edited one of the widget views to add my description field. The process is basically the same for any other text field you will add.
