How to disable pluralization

I'm building a custom module in foreign language (Italian) and I would like to disable automatic pluralization of item names in the backend, both in the Module Builder pages and in the backend menu. At the moment the system adds a trailing -s when it displays content type names, but that only makes sense for english names. Is it possible or is there some other way to properly localize the labels on such pages and menu for custom modules?

Hi Alessio,

Such functionality to manage the plural names is not supported. There is feature request logged in our Feedback portal where you could vote for it and subscribe for receiving notifications on status change.
Note that most voted requests are developed with higher priority.

Furthermore, the plural name is used to evaluate the content, so even if it is changed with the current implementation the items should not be resolved.
