how to create database for a new sitefinity project
hi telerik team
please tell me how can i creade database in SQL Server 2008 for my new website in sitefinity 4.0
Thanks
Hi Navneet,
The database can be created automatically by Sitefinity 4.0 project manager. You only have to type the server name and the name of the database you want to create. Another option is to create the database manually through SQL Management Studio

Hi Navneet,
You could take a look at this post which shows how to install Sitefinity 4.0 BETA.
If you have eight pages create in your website, then you must have a database. It is not possible to create a page if you do not have a database.

Hello Navneet,
Thank you for getting back to us with the additional information.
It seems that the problem you are facing is with the SQL server configuration. This article will help you resolve the issue: SQL SERVER – FIX : ERROR : (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 – Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: ).
Best wishes,
