Extend the products module

Hi all,

If I'm able to run the products module (my previous post), then I'd like to know if the following is possible:

Extend the Product with one or more images.
I'd like the backend user to have the ability to add product images to a product. One of them should be the default and others should be additional.

What would be the best practice in this?
