Page URL doesn't set Culture?

I have a page which languages are set to
~/product       (English)
~/produto       (Portuguese)

The default site language is PT. When I access

~/product

It comes with CurrentCulture = PT

I need it to be set to EN. How can I set the site Culture accordingly to the page Culture?

Hello Bruno,

Could you check the CurrentUICulture and its value? If you put the language selector control on a page what is its selected value?

If I access

~/product

The Language Selector says "Portuguese".

If I access

~/en/product

It says "English".

I do not want to use the en/, is there some workaround for this? I am using Sitefinity 4 (no service packs). Does SP1 fix this?

Hello Bruno,

Here is what I did:

  • I set Portuguese as my default language for public content
  • I created a page translated to EN and PT
  • I put a language selector on both page translations

When I navigate the page everything seems fine. Can you see the video I'm attaching and tell me if I'm missing something. When you navigate a page in non default language it contains a language prefix by default.

All the best,

So it is not possible to hide the language prefix, I see...

Thanks...
