Widget Appearance In Page Edit Mode - Sitefinity - Front- & Back-End Development

Hi,

How do you change the appearance of a widget in page edit mode. For example, when a user is "using" my widget and dragging it onto the page, I only want an icon/picture to appear, but when the page is published, I'd want to render the entire HTML of the control.

I hope that makes sense.
