Module creation via Fluent API? - Sitefinity - Front- & Back-End Development

In the 4.2 roadmap, there was some mention of simplifying the module creation using new Fluent API features. Did this make it to 4.2? It looks like their was little or no change to the Products Module sample in the 4.2 SDK.

In the release notes is mentioned an API for backend definitions. It is only an introduction and here are references for what is new.
