RadGrid with SEO Enabled
Hello,
Has anyone attempted to use a RadGrid within a user control and with the property Enable SEOPaging set to true?
I have a RadGrid within a widget (user control) with SEO enabled but search engines only see the first page.
Additionally, Sitefinity's built-in search only sees the first page.
Regards,
David
Hello David ,
When the crawler index your website it makes request on the page where you have your RadGrid control and only the first page of the RadGrid is indexed. The crawler can't go to each of your RadGrid pages.
You can index the items if they are content items, so they will be included in the index.
All the best,

Ivan,
Thanks for the response.
Could you please explain how to do this?
"can index the items if they are content items, so they will be included in the index"
Can this be done with Google and/or Sitefinity's built-in search?
Thanks,
David
Hello David ,
I was referring to the built-in search engine. If your items are content items you will be able to index them. There would be problem here with the way that the result item will display them. You need to have a url that resolves each item and inject this in the index. This will require a custom index pipe. For the Q2 we are going to rewrite the current pipes, because currently it is hard to implement a custom index.

Is there any update on this with the release of Sitefinity 4.4?
Can a custom search index be created so that the search widget can return results from multiple pages of an RadGrid?
David
Hello,
This is not supported out of the box and you can create a custom pipe to achieve your goal.
