Hi Justin,
Could not find alternatives in 4.1 for News Module's as in 3.7
News View : to show the News Details in a Different Template
You can edit the template for each news widget from its control designer and change the appearance. You can generate a new template and use it with difference instance of the news view.
Tag Clouds : Show News tags with changing font size based on News count
I think that currently this is not implemented. Currently there is only counter. I will log a new task for this request.
News Thumbnail : An option to add thumbnail image for a news item
Please take a look at this post. There is also a working sample in our SDK- products module where you could see another type of implementation.

Hi Ivan Dimitrov
The post link not working.
One another Issue I found was that.
I have two lists of News. Paging of one list does the paging of the other too.
Hi Justin ,
Here is the working link
www.sitefinity.com/.../creating_a_thumbnail_selector_for_news_items.aspx
The issue you experience could happen if both the controls use the same url evoluation mode. You have to set different value of urlevoluation mode from the widget properties

I have 2 news lists in same page
1. Show News List , and shows the details in the same page.
2. Show News List , and shows details in another page.
Re directions work fine.
But the issue is when details are shown in the same page.
Both the lists show the details. Where 2nd list should remain as list itself.
How can I set different url evoluation mode?
I tried by changing url evoluation mode to QueryString still no effect.
Hello,
Here is another forum post which should help.
