Enable Comments Feature on List Items

Hi,

  I need to enable comments feature on list items like on the news, including the need for admin approval. I did set the Allow Comments, Approval Required flags to true, however nothing happens. I am assuming this is because there are no views associated. How do I resolve this situation?
 
 Also if custom views have to be created, could you provide some examples of the required views? Including if there is anything to do for admin management of the comments as well.

So if you edit like the News widget template, and copy the comment control....then paste it into a list widget template

Hi Steve,

 I tried your solution (good thinking btw !). I copied the comments control from news to list item, the fields show up but nothing happens once you fill and submit them. The comment is lost. 

Also there is no admin side to manage the submitted comments, so in my case I need the comments approved before they show up, that is not possible.
