Is There a Service Interface for Creating Sitefinity Users?

Does Sitefinity have a stock service for creating users or do I need to write one?  Is there another way to create users based on external events (not from within the Sitefinity app).

Found a good resource for info on the restful services at http://www.sitefinity.com/blogs/svetlayankova/posts.aspx. Looks like this is the way to go!
