News Module: Can I Sort by "ActualPubDate"?

We created a new field "ActualPubDate" which is an additional date field in the News Widget. We created this because we were adding back-issues of articles that needed a date other than the current date, and SF 4.1x does not allow you to back-date articles.

My question is, can we use this new field to sort by? Like... "Last Published on Top" pulls from the standard 'date' -- can we swap it for "ActualPubDate" but _only_ in select News Widget Lists?

Hello,

Yes, you can use the new field to sort by. On the News widget, click Edit >> Advanced >> ControlDefinition >> Views >> NewsFrontEndList >> SortExpression. Enter in your field name and save.

Please let us know if you have anymore questions or concerns.
