sitefinity's search index

Hi,

In sitefinity 3.7 the search index used to be stored in the app_data folder, we used to use this index in our custom search engine. In Sitefinity 4.4 where are the search indexes stored?

Hello Annie,

Search indexes are located in the app_data/sitefinity/search folder. Here is the path located on my machine. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sitefinity_4.4\Projects\ProductList\App_Data\Sitefinity\Search"

Also, when you do a reindex, the results get deleted and created again. I have included some documentation to the search widget.

Hello Annie,

Sitefinity 4.4 uses version 2.9.2 of Lucene.

Took a site up from 4.2 to 6.0 reindexing does delete the folder but does not recreate it.

Testit it by adding it manualy on the server. Any idea

I have tested this on my end but the folder is recreated on re-index. Can you make a video on the behavior you are experiencing, or provide more detailed steps to reproduce? Also check your logs if there are any errors after re-indexing.
