FieldType in configuration section not saved - Sitefinity - Front- & Back-End Development

Hi,
I'm trying to change value of field in advanced settings:

ContentView->Controls->Frontend Pages->Views->FrontendPagesCreate->Sections->MainSection->Fields->UrlName

In FieldType I want to set my own control with slight modifications, however when I change this field I get a message section saved successfully but when I go back there is still the original value. Any idea?
