Hi,
We are devloping a project in sitefinity 4.4.
We used to add different providers and their templates in sitefinity 3.7-(different metafields as per the different providers).
How can we manage the same functionlity in 4.4?

We are able to add multiple providers for 'Files & Documents' , but how can we manage different templates as per the providers?

Our project is having following requirement , which can be fulfill with the provider thing, if there is no such solution for different metafields as per the provider then please let us know the alternate solution.

Requirement -   The section will enable users to download various important forms and other important and useful documents from the web site. This would be a dynamic section and content for this section can be updated through the dynamic content management module that would be provided. File formats for the various resources that can be downloaded by the user would be fixed.
Some of the information/ resources that can be downloaded by the user include-
1) Transaction Forms
2) Common Application Form
3) New Fund Offer related Form/s
4) Offer Documents

Please help.
Thanks & Regards,
Rajshree.

Hello Rajshree,

That's  tough one, unlike our 3.x implementation in Sitefinity we are actually using a features which comes from OpenAccess, and we provide API for it. The dynamic fields are implemented in OpenAccess and are per type, rather on provider. All other functionality in the documents library would work with a custom provider, though. If separation of documents by some condition is the only reason for creating a provider, think of some other way of distinguishing between them (tags, categories, library they're being uploaded in). The on the forntend you'll be able to filter and display document that fall in certain classification and are uploaded in a specific library.

All the best,
