Adding a new group item to Backend->Administration

How do I add another grouping (like the bold text for users, settings and config, system...)  to the Administration menu item...is this hardcoded somewhere in SF?

When I try to just add a new group page and put it in the backend pages sitemap (~/Sitefinity/Administration/BackendPages/Pages) the page I put in the group shows up, but the group itself does not...

That's a very good question Steve. It looks identical to teh other group pages and yet it does not want to do it.

looks like all teh items have class="rmItem" but the one in bold have class="rmItem rmTemplate", from somewhere this rmTemplate gets assigned to the menu item as well. If you find teh answer, I would love to know it too.

inside the database, in table "sf_page_node" find your new node and unter field name "render_as_link" set it to 0 (zero). Done!
