MediaContent and data for the full image

Is there a property in the MediaContent item that would give me the Data for the image.
What i mean is just like the  item.Thumbnail.Data which gives me the data for the thumbnail.
I know i can get the item.Url but i would like to have accedd to the Data directly.
Can't find it in the list of properties for MediaContent.
Don't know if it's because i am being stupid or it is simply not there.
