How to add News Category Icon?

Hi Guys,

I am working on a project where I would like to use the News module to display recent Projects and the projects will have 7 categories & every category has an icon associated with it.

So in the list when the projects are being displayed I would like to also display an icon in front depending upon the category the news belongs to.

Can someone please advise how can this be achieved? I can use the taxonomy to add categories but there is no option to upload any image/icon while adding categories.
