Keep licensing message from popping up in development phase

I am developing a project and using an Update Panel in one of my controls. Problem is, because it is unlicensed at this point - the licensing message shows up every few clicks. This licensing message causes errors on the page because the licensing message shows up even on update panel requests (ajax requests) - causing the response to be wrong and breaking the page.

I need to be able to demo the update panel functionality without it breaking from the licensing message.

Please assist
