Retrieve the list items of check list box or radio button li

Hello!
I have created a form with a few check box list and radio button list. I am taking care of that form from the Web User Control file. I have succeeded to retrieve the fieldTitle and fieldName of the controls but, don't know how to retrieve the list items of the controls.
Would you please help me out with the issue?
