Image Picker in Module Builder module: Ability to filter res

I have a custom module  built with the module builder with several standard image fields in it.  We have a large image library and need some better way to better manage and find images.  What the image library really needs is the ability to created a nested/tree structure of image libraries.  Anyway, we have tried to apply categories to our images on the Content->Images side, but when you go to pick an image anywhere in Sitefinity, including in Module Builder modules, there is no way to select a category to view.

Also on the topic of the Image Selector, is there any way to make the "Libraries" column wider, currently it wraps long descriptions and is unreadable.  Also, is there any way to get it to sort the list of libraries alphabetically? 

I hate to say it, but currently we are finding the image picker borderline unusable for our purposes.
