Restrict backend users to access specific custom module page

Hi,

I would like to set the permission for all my backend custom module pages that few specific roles users can assess that custom module page and I came to know this can be done by working around backend page under Administration but when I try to navigate to the backend pages I got the error as "Invalid URI: The URI scheme is not valid" this  is the error which I fails to resolve from long time so please help me out its urgent.
