Adding sub domains via sub applications in IIS

Trying to set up a new Sifefinity 5.2 website.  I would like to attach different sub-domains to top level page groups in IIS, but since the page groups are virtual folders, I'm not sure if this is possible. For example, I have three top level page groups Main, Students, and Alumni.  I would like to, in IIS, set the physical path of www.school.com to the Main folder (page group).  then I would like to set the physical path of students.school.com to the Students folder (page group), and finally I would like to set the physical path of alumni.school.com to the Alumni folder (page group).  Please let me know if this or something similar is possible.  Thanks!
