Blog post strips

Hi,

One of our content people is trying to embed a tweet into a Blog post. Twitter uses a <script> tag in the embed to provide styling and functionality for the buttons. However, when the embed code is pasted into the blog post and then published, the <script> tags were stripped out.

Is there a way to author a blog post with the embedded script tags so that an embedded tweet functions properly?

Thanks,
Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Thank you for contacting us.

This is the default configured behavior of the RadEditor in Sitefinity. It uses all content filters, which include a filter that strips the tags. A workaround is to insert them when the editor is in html mode and save without switching back to content mode.

Another option is to disable the filters for the editor. This can be done from Administration-Settings-Advanced-Appearance. There you can find the filter setting:http://screencast.com/t/a3XnClrvgO

Here are the available filters:http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/editor-content-filters.html.

Keep in mind that you need to restart the application after you save the settings.

I hope this helps.
