In Workflow - notify users by email is not sending email..
Hi
I am using 2 level workflow. For this I have set one user
for level 1 approval and other user for level2 approval. Also I have done the
SMTP settings through Administrator -->
Settings -->Advanced -->
System --> SMTP (Email Settings)
for below properties
Host:
Port:
UserName:
Password:
DeliveryMethod: Network
EnableSSL : True
Timeout: 100000
DefaultSenderEmailAddress:
EmailSubjectEncoding: utf-8
EmailBodyEncoding: utf-8
Also I set the same properties with same values in
Notifications --> Profiles
--> Default, except ‘UseSSL’
I set it as ‘UseSSL:False’. And tested
the settings through Basic --> Email
Compaigns --> ‘Send
check message’. It’s sending the email to receiver.
But it’s not sending the email to level1, level 2 approvers
through workflow.
The workflow is for ‘Messages module’. When I create new
message it is setting the status as ‘Send for Approval’ but the email is not being
sent.
The workflow settings are as shown in the attachment Workflow1.jpg
Could you please let me know what will be the reason behind
this or whether I need to do any other settings as well.
Does the test email send when are in the Basic Setting Email Campaigns? Have you checked ~/App_Data/Sitefinity/Logs/Current Error.log file to see if any errors are being logged that pertain to email sends?
If errors in log can you paste them here?
Make sure that in Advanced Settings > Notifications > Profiles > Default (If thats the profile you use on workflows)
is set up properly also.
Yes test email is send through basic setting email campaigns....
I have also checked the ~/App_Data/Sitefinity/Logs/...but no log file is generated.
I am not clear about your last statement that 'If thats the profile you use on workflows'...do you mean to say that the settings in Advanced Settings > Notifications > Profiles > Default should match with the settings in System > SMTP (Email Settings)...then it's matching....still emails are not going..
Other than checking Settings > Advanced > Notifications >DefaultProfiles and making sure its using the Default. Sounds like everything else is set up correctly. Have you entered a support ticket?
Hello Mihir,
Did you test your settings with smtp4dev, as suggested in the support ticket?
