Shorten category filter urls

Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to optimise the url of the categories filter so they are more user friendly as out site is driven a lot by categories.

For example: I have a url like - /directory/-in-businesstypes/business-types/domestic-services/bins

And I simply want to reduce it to /directory/domestic-services/bins
