Hello Team,

I have two sites like domain.com/subsite1 and domain.com/subsite2. So  i have created two sites using single admin. We have a functionality of search for both the sub sites. The search functionality should work independently with no content / page sharing.

So, how do we create index differently for each Sub-Site so the search is driven independently.

Please help!!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello,

If you are using our Multisite Management:

http://www.sitefinity.com/product/multisite-management

http://www.sitefinity.com/documentation/documentationarticles/multiple-site-management

Then you should not be able to search in all sites using one search index. There is no global site index. , This is indeed feature we should consider integrating in the product.

Please review our documentation for Search indexes and especially these lines:

In multisite mode, if you have one content type using more than one data source and you want the search index to include all data sources, on the default page for that item, you must drop one widget for each data source, since each widget displays items from only one data source.
