Salesforce connector - Can I configure the host url to test in the sandbox?

I'm currently trying to test our salesforce installation with our 6.3 sitefinity project.  I've read the documentation on how to configure this scenario, however I want the Salesforce connector to hit 'https://test.salesforce.com' instead of 'https://login.salesforce.com' for development purposes.  Is there a way to configure this?  I've looking under Settings > Advanced and also in the config files and don't see it anywhere.

Hello,

I have consulted with our developers who explained that this is not supported for the moment and advised to issue a feature request.

Here is the PITS item where you can track the progress of this request:
http://www.telerik.com/support/pits.aspx#/public/sitefinity/16372

Note also that when planning for releases, we are always going through the feature requests in  PITS and taking decision based on votes.

I'm using Sitefinity 7.2 and want to connect to Salesforce as part of my development. I'm having the same issue as described in the thread. I want to connect to 'test.salesforce.com' instead of 'login.salesforce.com'. I can't find the configurtion for this, is this feature still not added? Need help ASAP on this.

Hello Rashmiranjan,

The item has been moved in our feedback portal here: Ability for Salesforce connector to address different urls than the hardcoded https://login.salesforce.com'

The status is still "Not Done" which means that there is no progress on it.

The main reason is that this did not gather much votes, so I can strongly advise to cast one, so it could be implemented in some of our upcoming releases.

I am sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you.

Has this been fixed yet? Without being able to test the connection on test data it makes the connector pretty useless. There's no way we can use a client's live data in a development environment. I see the pits link and have voted for it but I hardly think that this is the best way to  determine the need of this very simple fix. Please let me know if this has any chance of getting on the radar because otherwise we'll have to figure out another way to connect to SalesForce.

Hi Kalvin,

In order to make Sitefinity to use the https://test.salesforce.com/ address for the SalesForce connector, please try the suggestion described in the below KB article:

Connect to SalesForce sandbox using SalesForce connector

Has this issue been resolved yet? All the links in this article are dead and we also need to be able to connect to a test instance of salesforce.
