Is there a way to change the sort order for the Tags/Departments/Categories list that appear the Filter Product Widget?

Hello,

Unfortunately, product filter widget does not support display order or sorting by Tags and Classifications.
If the type of the Classification is hierarchical you can order it from within Content>All Classifications. Please note that this functionality is valid only for hierarchical lists, not for simple lists as Tags. (http://screencast.com/t/8WSxFVhdG)

I logged a feature request in our feedback portal where you can vote and subscribe for the item.
