Hi,

 We have a registration module where the user needs to register on our site to access certain areas of the website.

The process can be the user registers on our site and we allow him the access and another can be the user is already a LinkedIn user and we need to authenticate the user and allow him access. We are able to authenticate the user from our site, but how do we perform the session persistence if the user logs in from LinkedIn. And what is the better way to handle external authentication.

Please let me know on this ASAP.

Hello Siddesh,

What you are looking for is setting up external security-token-service (external STS), which will handle the authentication process and once a user is successfully authenticated, a token is provided to access Sitefinity pages requiring authentication.
