asp:DataPager not appearing

This is being done in a Custom Control. We are using an asp:ListView which is being populated in the back end. This is working. We are then trying to add paging to this list through an asp:DataPager. This control is not displaying. 

Our code is attached. 

Any help will be appreciated.

Can you please make sure that you have set the PageControlID property of the DataPager control in order to specify the data that will be paged.
