Module builder Related Data - DB configuration

Hi.

I have 2 custom modules: Category (Title) and Item(Type <Category - Related Data>, Title).

I have to use a trigger to update the Type field from Item but for this i have to know how Category (custom module) and Item are connected using related-data. I searched in database for a connection table but no luck.

Anyone know the connection table or how the Type is linked to Category?
