HI Simeon,

Thanks for replying.

I wanted to know if we can reuse one instance of a project for many locations. For eg, as in www.tetley.com whose home page has access to sites based on geographic location selected. I noticed that the domain names and/or even the site name is different in some cases like www.tetley.usa.com ,www.tetley.pt . The required result would be www.xxxxxx.com\germany , www.xxxxxx.com\italy ,www.xxxxxx.com\russia etc .Can you explain how it can be achieved?

Regards

Nivy

Hi Nivy,

The tetley site most probably uses our Multisite module in order to achieve such a result for its different language versions. The default functionality requires you specify a different domain for each site you create in your Sitefinity instance.

If you want to achieve similar functionality, but require directories instead of domains there are two approaches you can follow. The first one is to take advantage of our Multilingual functionality and add different languages to your site. Once you translate some content, when you change the site culture you will get the current culture appended to your site URL (e.g. www.mysite.com/en).

If you like to have a more friendlier URL than simply the language abbreviation, you can try and create a separate group page for each site culture. The Group pages will have separate pages as their child pages, corresponding to the culture. Provided you want to copy pages from another culture you are free to duplicate them and then move them under the group page you need. For more information on Sitefinity pages, please refer to our Documentation.
