How do I password protect a Sitefinity website at the site level within IIS7?

Hi,

I have a Sitefinity version 7.0 website which is working fine.
At the moment I want to make sure that only certain set of users can see the site over the Internet. That is they need to enter a username and password - ideally using their domain credentials.

I have tried numerous things such as Enabling Windows Authentication in IIS which brings up a message about cannot use at the same time as forms authentication.

Has anyone successfully managed to set this kind of environment up?

Hi Alex,

You can try to switch to Claims-based authentication and following that article:
http://docs.sitefinity.com/administration-set-up-sso-with-windows-authentication

to setup the SSO with Windows authentication.
