Changing all Nicknames at once for 1000+ users?

Hi,

we currently want to implement a forum in our site, but for the moment all 1000+ Users have their "Username" which is the email here... as a Nickname automatically.  -> And we do not want to publish the email-address when someone post... :-)

 So, do someone have an idea how to change the Nickname for all 1000+ Users to for example: "User-?????" where the "?" is a random Number?

Does someone have a easy way(Expect from going through all users and changing it manually) for this, or maybe an SQL script?
