Detecting the new "Loading\Ready" state in an http module

I have an HTTP Module which reads from the SF config, but it seems in 8.2 the entire thing just outright crashes...I'm assuming since the bootstrapping hasn't happened yet (async?)

Anyway, is there a way I can wrap my code in some query to only run when SF is ready?

Could you please provide more information on the scenario you use and how we can replicate this on our end? Please, check the how you can get whether the system is initializing:
