Element "telerik:RadDatePicker" is not a known element message comes while developing stitifinity widget

I was getting element is not known element  while creating DatePicker widget. I have followed the steps which are there @ docs.sitefinity.com/tutorial-create-a-date-picker-widget .

Can someone help me why I am getting this message.

I encountered the same. Try closing and reopen the project, you should be able to build.
