Hey guys,

my scenario is the programming of widgets and also the change of templates and widgets. Therefore I want to use Visual Studio (Version 14.0.25431.01) from my own work station.

Our current builds of sitefinity pages are set on a server, only reachable via our intranet. In addition: The pages are running on IIS.

When I want to establish a connection from my own machine to the server, where sitefinity is installed on and the pages are, I used the login of the admin user of Sitefinity and used the address to reach the regular page (servername/thundertest).

When I want to do a test connection, I get said, that the connection failed. In addition the Thunder module in this sitefinity installation is enabled. In a tutorial I read to click the "Download" button within the connection-list in Visual Studio. This does not work as for that no connection could be established.

The firewall of our Sitefinity server, in addtion, do not block any access.

So what is the issue here?

Best regards,

Kai
