Conservation of old urls for custom content types
Hello Sitefinity team,
I hope you can help me, I build with Sitefinity a new version of an old website for one of my client, in this website I create a custom module with one content type which correspond to an existing concept in their old website.
The client want that the new website can manage the old url for that concept to keep the google ranking.
The old urls have this pattern :
The name of the concept item is not well formed and so it's unusable.
The identifier field is the ItemID it correspond to a synchronization ID inside the content type and so can allow to find the content type item correspond to the url.
What is the cleanest method to achieve this?
