Developing a SPA using Sitefinity as the backend.

Hi all,

I'm very new to sitefinity so please excuse the lack of knowledge.

I am required to provide a CMS for a Single Page Application that has been written in AngularJS.  The frontend app already exists and is connecting to a Wordpress CMS through a REST JSON API.    Without modifying any of the frontend app, (except for the API calls) is it possible to connect to Sitefinity through a REST API?

I read a bit about the project feather, but I don't think this will work, because this requires the actual markup to be written within Sitefinity / .NET. However I do need to be able to define content such as a home page slider, header banner images for individual pages, and of-course content for pages. I also need to be able to define header footer links and expose these links that can be used from within the SPA.

I am a bit lost where to start, so could someone kindly point out if there are any example applications or tutorials that show how to do this.

Many thanks.
