Site Sync Between Intranet Site and Internet Site

I have to build a internet site which will contains contents like announcements, Blogs, Events pulled from intranet site.

as per features described inside the features page Site Sync is done between Development environment to staging and then to production. 

is there is any kind of dependency which restricts it from making this kind of arrangements?

Please provide me alternate solutions as well if there are any other than Custom window service
