On the site, you've indicated support for item level permissions in Sitefinity 4.0. Will you also be supporting permissions at the list or library level? One aspect of WSS that's particularly attractive is that you can create a list or document library and set permissions at that level. It allows for better delegation of duties as it relates to maintaining the content of a site. It's better for team collaboration too.

Hi Jay,

In Sitefinity 4.0 there are permissions per item and permissions per library. We are done with this implementation, so you will be able to see it in the BETA release. I hope that the BETA will be available for downloading in the beginning of August.

So does this mean that, for example, the software will allow for multiple lists of news items and multiple lists of events?

Hello Jay,

Depending on who is allowed to see an item you can build different lists.
