For Registering controls (for example) in the backend, could we have a webeditor popup to pick the ascx instead of typing in the full url? 

...just wishlist item :)

Hi Steve,

Generally you have to create a custom mapping for Telerik.Sitefinity.Configuration.Web.UI.SettingsView inside ControlsConfig.config, but currently we do not distribute the external template that you have to extend.
Then you can create a dialog similar to this one shown in this post.
