Active directory synchronization

Hi,
Is it possible to synchronize Active Directory user profiles in Sitefinity?
For example, if we want to display a list of all employees in the organization by pulling data from AD?
Also if there are any changes(a user added or deleted) in AD will they be picked up?

Hi Monika Lather,

Please take a look at this post that shows how to set AD provider. Sitefinity is only acceptor for AD and you cannot use Sitefinity to modify AD objects. You have only read access that allows you to set permissions over Sitefinity objects.

Hi Ivan,
I tried to follow http://www.sitefinity.com/help/developer-manual/implementing-multiple-membership-providers.html
and I got this error
Parser error message : "The server cannot handle directory requests."

Hi Monika Lather,

1. The settings you have used are valid for Sitefinity 3.x edition.

2.This looks like as an issue from the Active Directory setup. Is there any stack trace? Are you able to run the AD on another website using the same parameters. You might find these posts useful

3. If you can provide some more details we could try to narrow down the issue.
