Vertical Layout

I might be missing something pretty simple, but, when trying to create a custom layout from scratch, why is that I can only create new columns with the layout editor and not add new rows?

Once again, I answered my own question, next time I will be more careful before posting.
You simply drag an element below an existing one to create a new row in the template layout.
