Different Backend Pages on a Per-User/Group basis

Greetings,

Will the final version of Sitefinity offer the possibility of having different Backend pages for different users or group of users?

Basically we need to have the current backend pages as they are for the Administrator, however, members of a specific group upon login should be moved into other backend with pages specially crafted for them, with some of the current functionality of the current pages but with a different layout and different menu items as well.

Is there or will there be any way of easily achieving this functionality? Or the way to achieve this is creating pages on the front end protected on a per-group basis? If so, are all the controls used on the back-end (create content, upload content, etc) available to use?

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

We will have this functionality out of the box. Through policies you will be able to set which role what to see. The BETA does not provide UI to create a  new policy, but you will be able to see how this works in the next release that will be in two months.
